Chaga fungus gets those two components from its birch host. Betulin and Betulinic acid are currently researched as very powerful agents in balancing cholesterol to healthy levels.  The beneficial effects of these two triterpenes have also been studied in relation to cancer and viruses.


Chaga will have different properties, depending on where it’s harvested. Just like fruits harvested in sunlight vs artificial light. Chaga is healthier when its harvested from pristine forests, away from polluted areas. The farther the better!
